dude, seriously. its your responsibility to stop this.

    1. go to a public school and state in your state.
    2. take a year off college and work if you have to. save money and pay for school yourself.
    3. nobody, let me repeat, NOBODY should be paying over 100,000 for a bachelors degree.

with all sincerity, get out of this while you can.

but there is no restart button. who pays for it then? and what about the students who took six or 7 years to graduate because they took time off to wait tables and save money?
im totally against loans, but its not the only option. students need to take responsibility for themselves and not sign on the dotted line for those massive private loans.

Student loan dept will keep people from getting married. Which means no babies. Then when our ***** get old, we will have no Army to defend our country. The best thing our government can do is press the restart button on Student Loans and end the High Interest Student Loan Nightmare.

I am a doc with 250,000 student debt and my wife has 80,000 grand. I do well for myself so I can’t complain. However, to charge people 100k plus for a BS or MS is bullshit. Tutiton has gone up 5 times since the 90′s and we are in a recession. No jobs get into student debt sounds crazy. So I agree with you and thank you for posting this video.

Yes, college IS one of the riskiest investments you can make, but it’s always stupid to make such an investment A). at a young age B). when you can’t really afford it. You get out of college and are 100,000+ in debt…you get a 30,000 dollar entry level job. That debt isn’t going anywhere. It’s just tyranny and I can’t believe that Americans have bowed down to such a system for so long.

waverly2468 -Yes, that is true, but with any other investment, if it fails, you can take bankruptcy. With a college education, if for some reason you don’t make the money promised to you and can not pay back the loans, then you become a financial slave to the government. You can not take bankruptcy. I thought I heard Obama say that he would like to have it where people can work off their loans by doing community service. This means working on top of your job and being a slave to the government.

Going to college is not worth creating debt with an unmerciful government. Sometimes, health issues and certain upcoming mental and physical disabilities will prevent a person from making enough money, if any, to barely survive on, but the government will still take their money! You can’t take bankruptcy! You’re trapped permenantly. There’s no mercy! No forgiveness of debt. Financial slavery! Don’t be fooled. A job’s not promised at the end of your education. Education doesn’t equal prosperity.

Well I wwent to a so so university and now owe well over 130,000 in loan and interest debt. I only have a masters degree in psychology. Hmmm I am not sure how or if this will ever be paid off. I was well intentioned.. big dreams that I would have a well paying job and pay this off.. Wrong! Nice job but not nearly enough to even keep up with interest. I would love to just go live in the woods with no adress or phone and student loans could kiss my ass

Here’s the thing…I believe capitalism is a good system. But it can only work properly if no one abuses it. If everyone obeyed the law and didn’t try to cheat the system, capitalism would work. Since that will never happen, I think we need another option that isn’t communism.
