As our economy worsens, the crime of identity theft continues to be one of the fastest growing crimes. Identity theft can be committed by the simple petty theft stealing purses to large overseas criminal syndicates using sophisticated strategies to steal identities.

Just as identity theft as a crime has been increasing, a whole industry has developed around offering identity theft protection solutions. There is an incredible need for such services as it has been estimated that identity theft affects one in four US households.

Identity theft can simply be an opportunistic crime, but more often it is carried out as part of a well orchestrated criminal organization. So while your identity may come into the hands of a low-life criminal through chance, it is more likely to be stolen through the use of sophisticated techniques utilized by the smartest of thieves.

Identity theft can be defined as someone using another person’s name, address, and social security number to commit fraud and make financial gains. The majority of cases of identity theft are committed to make money for the criminals, though it can be used for other purposes.

Identity theft literally steals their victims identity. The criminal becomes the victim and impersonates them so that financial institutions have no idea that they are really dealing with a criminal and not the actual person. It is a very personal crime that can put the victim’s finances in a ruin.

Illegal immigrants also use stolen identities for non-monetary reasons. Due to the recent push to eliminate illegals in the country, they have been looking for ways to impersonate people that are supposed to be here. One way of doing so is by assuming the identity of a legal citizen.

Victims of identity theft find themselves faced with the gigantic task of clearing their good name. Because of this, you really need to be using every available means to ensure that you do not get caught up in this crime.

Identity theft as a crime is continuing to grow quickly, especially as the world’s economy continues to suffer. This just points to the fact that you should really be taking measures to protect your good name. Consider using an identity theft protection solution to assist you in the battle against identity theft.

Calculation for Saving for Retirement: Guesstimate what your yearly income will be when you decide to retire. First thing to do is to determine the number of years until you retire and how likely it is that you will remain at your current job. Calculate the terminal income using the expected growth in your income. For this you may use a compound interest calculator.

Decide when you want to retire, and then decide how much you will need to live on for about 20-30 years after that. This will help you to get an idea of what you will need to save. You will need a much clearer picture that will include inflation rates and health care costs as well as some other adjustments. Talking to a financial professional will help you in this.

With an approximation of the inflation rate, calculate the sum of money you will need when you retire to obtain the calculated yearly income. For this you may use a retirement calculator. If you are giving annual requirement as of date of retirement, enter the parameters for date of retirement as ’0′. Otherwise, put in the necessity as of today. The calculator will include the inflation automatically. The calculator will tell you what the amount of money is that you will need to save every year so that you will have enough money to live on after retirement. You can find a retirement calculator on the Internet.

It has never been more important to think about the right type of financial planning. Economically, there is no doubt that we are in a recession. Experts predict that we will soon bounce back from it – but they have been claiming that for a year. Who knows when it will really happen? And is it really worth it to adopt a “wait and see” attitude when it comes to your future? Absolutely not. Every little bit of money counts right now. You need to learn how important it is to have a good financial plan.

First and foremost, we need to discuss personal finance. This is unquestionably important. If you cannot save money at home, then you may not have luck saving it anywhere else either. So, you need to start by working up a budget. By doing this, you will actually be in a position to either start up or significantly add to your retirement plan.

You have to begin with the essentials. What do your bills amount to every month? Credit card bills, utilities, what you spend on gas, what you spend on groceries, and all of your other essentials – you need to tally up all of these amounts. Then, you need to figure out how much money you bring in each month. Set aside money for each thing. You will be surprised at how much you ultimately save.

You have to go even farther however. You have to consider retirement planning, for instance. Right now, a lot of people are having money taken out of their retirement funds. If this keeps happening to you, where will you be when you are finally ready to retire?

First of all, realize that you cannot necessarily rely solely on your 401K. This is undoubtedly important of course. But sometimes, it can let you down with no warning whatsoever. You should always set up and pay into your 401K whenever it is possible. However, if it is not sufficient or if your job does not offer one, you need to take matters into your own hands.

For instance, what about opening up an IRA? This is an abbreviation for an Individual Retirement Account. It allows you to open up a retirement fund yourself. You get to choose how much money goes into it. This allows you a little leverage and control. Plus, you can be pretty sure that nothing is going to happen to it.

You simply cannot afford to plan sloppily – or not at all. To do so could be financial suicide. Protect yourself, protect your family – plan smart.

One of the biggest technology pieces these days seem to be the cell phone. There are so many different brands and the unlocked cell phones are not only very popular but they are popping up everywhere! Now, you may be wondering exactly what an unlocked cell phone is, well, you can basically use an unlocked phone on any network or you can use it as a prepaid or pay as you go phone, which many people love.

It is pretty obvious that cell phones are not going anywhere and there are always going to be cell phone companies. Let’s say that you have one of the coolest, technology-advanced phones on the market, but unfortunately, you can not use it on your current provider, instead of switching, get your phone unlocked!

One of the main reasons that people would much rather get their phones unlocked versus having to switch their provider all together is because of the hassle and the service plans. The hassle of switching providers is the fact that we would lose all of the information that we currently have on our phones and that is just a pain in and of itself!

A lot of networks do not care about fairness. They want you to keep them as a service provider, whether you want to or not. They want you to think you will have to give up your phone if you want to get out of your contract or if you make the decision not to renew it. This does not always have to be the reality though. You do not have to use your phone on any given network, just because they say you do.

Now-a-day, there are a few ways around the network problem and that is simply unlocking your phone! You can either download some phone unlocking software or there are many different companies that can now unlock your phone.

Honestly, it is not fair the way that cell phone providers and cell phone companies in general make you choose which cell phone company you can use. It is your choice and just because one company has a certain cell phone that you want, that should not make you use that network if you do not like it. That is one of the main reasons why unlocking phones has become so popular!

Now, like say, there are many other ways you can use your cell phone once it has been unlocked. You can use it as a prepaid cell phone, which is ideal if you do not use it or talk on it that much. You can also sign up with another network.

Do not be intimidated by service providers who want to tell you that you cannot use your cell phone with anyone but them. Learn how to get your cell phone unlocked, so you can use your phone how you like.

If you have some experience in foreign exchange trading, but not much, you probably are a technical trader.

by Karielle Samstad

If you have some experience in foreign exchange trading, but not much, you probably are a technical trader.

This is a good place to be. You are not quite there yet (your profits are not as big as you would like), but you are well on your way to become a truly successful trader.

Let’s see what you are doing right now:

You know that intuition and hot tips alone do not make you money and you use indicators to tell you when it is the right time to buy and when it is the right time to sell. So, you study all you can about indicators, like trends, charts, ratios, volatility, etc.

This is great! All those indicators are going to definitely help you make money. They are very useful tools and of course you should learn all about them, as long as you do not try to use them to predict the markets

One big mistake many traders make is to use methods like Fibonacci and Elliott Wave to predict how the market will behave. They will find that, no matter how accurate they feel their prediction is, they still lose more money than they would like.

Sounds familiar? It is ok to lose money (actually you have to feel comfortable losing money, but this is a subject for another article) and certainly it is ok to use indicators to help you make trading decisions. In fact, you have to be very good at using different types of indicators before doing any trading. But there is one important thing to keep in mind here: markets cannot be predicted, they can only be traded. Big difference.

The technical aspects of the trade are necessary steps on the way to success. As I said before, you have to be good at them. Just remember: all those indicators and methods are tools to be used in a trading strategy, not by themselves.

If you are on this stage, congratulations! You are half way there. You know what is important and what should be discarded before making trading decisions.

What is next for you is fascinating: the peace of mind and the profits only pros can have.

A smoother road compared to the beginning, don’t you think?
